What is the best chipset available for the AMD+ socket? I want to put in a Phenom II 920 but are the AMD chipsets or the nVidia ones better? Reasons why? What is the difference between the AMD 770/780G/790X/790FX/790GX chipsets?

The very best "Dragon" chipsets for AMD right now are the 790FX/790X/790GX. 780G is usually microATX only, and usually has HDMI. The way to go right now would be 790FX+HD 4870+Phenom II 940. That would be the top "Dragon" setup. I don't know much about the nVidia chipsets, but I think the only good one for AMD is the 750a. All of these would have AM2/AM2+/AM3 sockets. Hope that helps.
