I just finished building my computer and it has a weird problem. As soon as I exit a game, the video card (an nvidia 9800 gx2) outputs popping sounds to the tv speakers
I use the integrated sound to a stereo receiver for the audio, but the video card will pop, presumably as it "cools off"
I can mute the tv speakers but the popping is still getting sent into the tv preamp or sound so I fear it might hurt it
What is up with this?
The system has G Skill PC2-8500 memory at like 940mhz or something latencies lowered, an MSI P35 Platinum board and an Intel e2140 set to 3Ghz.
i have an similar problem with a msi geforce7900 gto....it make-s sounds ...not in the speakers....from the actual graphic card ......weird...like scartching metal.......i know that this doesn't help you...but hey...you're not alone
