My CPU overclocking didn't crash computer but in whenever I stress test the FPU it fails.
Using Everest Ultimate ed it fails in around 2-4 minutes
Using P95 it fails instantly saying it got 0.5 when it expected 0.4 or below.

I followed the guide listed here:
http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/page-240001_29_350.html
the guide was very helpful for me as i had never atempted an OC before.

my CPU is an e6420 i got it from 2.13 to 2.66 on a ratio of 1:1with the ram at 333 or 333.5 take your pick
stress testing the cpu and everything else goes fine its only the FPU having problems.

does anyone have any insight into this my computer specs are as follows:

CPU:
Intel(R) Core(TM)2 CPU 6420 @ 2.13GHz (2 CPUs), ~2.1GHz (OC'd to 2.66)
Memory:
2048MB RAM @667mhz
Hard Drive:
660 GB Total
Video Card:
NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GT
Monitor:
HP w1907 Wide LCD Monitor 19\"
OS:
Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit
Motherboard:
ASUS P5Q SE
Computer Case:
Smilodon Raidmax mid tower

I Know this isn't the best computer for OC'ing but I just wanted to make the most of the hardware I have

Ram is 1GB Transcend JM1GDDR2-6K and 1GB Apacer Tech both with the same specs (total 4x512mb sticks)

my overclocked setup runs fine as I can play games like MW2 and other cpu and vid card heavy apps without any problems. will update if i have a problem and what with if that also helps.
