I am thinking to build my self a better then professional NAS, based on an UBUNTU linux server distro.
Basically i am planing to get an ultra slim case, and brand new common intel based components. With intel celeron Mobile CPU.
I am trying to decide on cooling methods, and maybe getting into more extreme ideas. Like how to reduce heat and power consumption to an absolute minimum without compromising system stability.
Thinking of stuffs like changing the FSB and extreme down clocking the CPU bus speed but am not really sure how it can be done.
I'm looking for ppl who did something like this before, and have some experience, or maybe geeks who built there own mother boards, maybe someone was bored enough, and had the right amount of money for a multi layered custom PCB. Anyway.
I am eager to hear new ideas. Right now i apologies cause i am too tiered to detail my build idea, but it'll come.
