Hello, i recently build a budget pc and i was thinking of overclocking.I have the e8400 and the asrock p43de3 motherboard 2gb ddr3 xms2 corsair @1333 (for now, i am planing to add another stick).I can`t seem to get the processor over 410X9, 3690Mhz, i know that the p43 chipset does not overclock as good as the p45.
I want to buy an aftermarket cooler for the cpu but only if i can get it higher, i was thinking about 4ghz. At 3690Mhz, the cpu idles at full load at 53-56 C, another thing i want to mention is that i have the raidmax 420W power supply and it comes with an 4 pin connector for the cpu and the motherboard has 8 pin connector. will an adapter to plug in the missing 4 pins will solve the problem? or does my power supply is to weak?

If you left your memory settings on Auto, you are overclocking your memory and that is limiting your CPU OC - where the real speed comes from.

Which is it? :)  If you are at full load, you are not idling. You still have 10 C in reserve. 70 C is a safe "do not exceed temperature. If increasing your core voltage (do not exceed 1.3625 volts) improves your OC, a better cooler will help.

A four to eight pin adapter will not help. It will not improve the power delivery of the power supply.

The ram frequency is not on auto i have set it to 1333mhz.1600mhz option is also available but i can`t load windows, the blue screen appears.
The cpu voltage is on auto right now i have tried to raise the voltage when i was trying to overclock higher than 3.6 but with no luck. The motherboard supports 1600mhz ram,so if i get 1600mhz ram will that help me overclock higher?
