I need a new LCD monitor to replace my old CRT monitor and I wanted to know what the best size and resolution would be for my video card.

My card is an EVGA 9800GT 512mb Hybrid Power

For gaming? 1200*800 (full details in most games) will be the one for that card. Get a LCD with at least 1440 x 900. Preferably AT LEAST 17' Wide screen forget anything smaller than that. Also what is your budget?

Can I play the listed games at good details on a 22" monitor?

^Yes. But depends on resolution if it's 1600*1200 some games (ie Crysis) you'll have to turn down the settings a bit to be able to play at 30fps.

1280x800 on a 9800GT is a waste. 1680x1050 and 1600x1200 is perfect for it. Nothing runs Crysis without lowered detail that's not a high-end SLI or CF configuration.
