hello guys...
i am already using a Transcend JetRam of 2gb (5-5-5-18)@DDR800 on MSI P45-neo-f
since i wanted to upgrade to 4gb i thought of replacing my Jetram with
GSkill F2-6400CL5D-4GBPQ

CAS_Latency 5-5-5-15
Capacity 4GB (2GB x 2)
Speed DDR2-800 (PC2-6400)
Test_Voltage 1.8 ~ 1.9 Volts
PCB 6 Layers
Unbuffered
Error_Checking Non-ECC
Type 240-pin DIMM

can you pls tell me the amount of performance gain i will have with apps such as 3dsmax and maya if i am using GSkill F2-6400CL5D-4GBPQ(5-5-5-15) instead of Transcend JetRam of 2*2gb (5-5-5-18).

thank you

No real difference between those 2 performance wise. I'd estimate that the 0-0-0-3 lower latency would make a sub 0.5% increase if anything at all.

Yes, JDocs is correct, it will translate to like an increase of like 4to6 pages per sec.

Take a look at the Memory review at hardwarecanucks.com

First you say your using 2gb of Jetram, then at the bottom you say 2*2 Jetram. 2x2 would be 4gb not 2gb.
Are you asking the performance gain from 2gb to 4gb or are you asking performance gain of 4gb jetram vs. 4gb Gskill?

thank you JDocs and Atalia

@zip
i am already using a Transcend JetRam of 2gb (5-5-5-18)@DDR800 but i want to upgrade to 4gb....i.e either buy 1 more same stick or get the Gskill(2*2gb) which i mentioned.
so basically i want to know the performance gain of 4gb jetram vs. 4gb Gskill since the latency diff. is very small and the price diff is big. :)
