8600gts?

Here is my current setup:
AMD X2 3800+ 939 OCed to 2.2
3 gbs of DDR 3200 ram
200gb SATA HD
BFG 7900gt OC (475 core clock)

And i was wondering if it would be worth getting a BFG 8600gts OC (clocked to 710) for 50 dollars. I can't spend anymore on something better. And I was wondering if this card would give me a boost in performance for newer games like Fallout 3 and Farcry 2. I currently can play those games on Medium with decent performance. Am I going to be able to get anything better with this card?

It will not be a huge boost but will help in some never titles. Have you looked into HD4670?

yea ive checked it out but they all cost between 80 and 100 and I only have 50 buks to spend on a card. Plus Im not sure if this makes a difference but I have an Nvidia chipset on my motherboard.

I would save the cash and wait a month or so Until you have another $50-70, then go for a bigger jump. With the little jump you get it might be a waste because you will need to upgrade the next time a game you like comes out.
