Hello, i have bought a new hard disk and an adapter which converts SATA to IDE (because my computer only supports IDE). This is the hard disk i bought http://www.emag.ro/hard_disk-uri/hdd-western-digital-caviar-green-power-500gb-32mb-sata--pWD5000AADS

So, i connected my hard disk to the computer, through the adapter and started my computer.
I saw the hard disk in the bios, but when i started the windows, the hard wasn't in the explorer.
So i tought i had to make partitions first.
I inserted my windows xp SP2 cd to make partitions, and the hard disk wasn't there.

Also, in the windows when i go to add hardwere, the hard disk is found there too, and it says that it should work without problems, but it's still unavailable for me to access it.

Please help me, i just bought it and can't use it.

I think, you have to initialize the new hard drive in Disk Management tool, and then create partition and format it.
