Help Me to connect a USB printer to the network.

I bought a HP LASER JET 1007. which is a USB 2.0 printer. i have two pc both are connected via a switch. There has a modem connected also in the switch which have a usb and a ethernet port. ethernet port is used to connect the modem to switch.. That means in my network i have 2pc and a modem connected. is there has any procedure to connect my printer to this network. I dont want to connect the printer in a pc, cz to access the printer i have to power on the pc always. So please guys help me. thanks in advance,,,,,,,

just install the printer in one pc you have then after that just click enable printer sharing then click apply, all you have to do is ping the ip address of the PC which have a printer install and select the printer you shared... then do a print test hope it works...

I know this. i already did this and going fine. but i want to use my printer as a lan printer. i dont want to use it via some other pc. is it possible?
