I'm building a machine at some point, to be used mainly for Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom. Lightroom in particular is a huge memory hog. I'm looking at the workstation series of mobos.
It will be my *first* system build.

I first looked at the p6t6 WS revolution, but it doesn't have ieee1394 (I also do some video editing)

So I thought I could just get a pci-e card for ieee1394, but then I got to looking at the p6t WS Professional. It has firewire built in, so I wouldn't have to add in a card for it.

Since the p6t is cheaper than the p6t6, I am guessing the p6t6 has more bells and whistles. But my question is, are they necessary? I looked at the specs for both boards and couldn't figure out the difference.
I'm not a gamer at all, if that makes a difference. I don't plan on Overclocking either.
