One final question.

I'm gaming on a 17in TFT @ 1280x1024 which i'm quite happy with. I'm just about to upgrade a new system so do I buy:-

1 4870X2 or
1 4870 1Gb + 22in display?

I want the best possible performance, although i do understand a 4870X2 is wasted a little @ 1280x1024. How will games in particular Crysis play @ 1680 x 1050 on a 4870? I really want to play on max settings.

You will be able to play Crysis @ Enthusiast with no filters on. I have a 8800 GT at the moment and I can play crysis 1440x900 @ Enthusiast with no filters getting an average of 30 fps.

mmm, sounds good. Is enthusiast DX10 settings as I've not seen those settings on DX9?

Also you quoted an average of 30fps. I really want an absolute minimum of 25fps or it just ruins it for me.

DAmn ppl!! What's wrong with you all and this game??? I finished both crysis games and I must say I was highly disappointed! The gameplay and story and the finish, such big time in both games. Only the graphics and the hype save this game from being in the 1.99$ basket. Snap out of it!!! There are much better games out there!

Well I only bought Crysis 3days ago and am mightly impressed. I also bought FarCry2 about 2 weeks ago and much prefer Crysis. Crysis is still a very good shooter even underneath the gloss. Just my opinion.
