Where does XP store the "New File" list template?

Forum Windows XP : General Discussion Where does XP store the "New File" list template?

In Win9x/Me, you could browse to C:\Windows\ShellNew. Where is this data
stored in XP?

I know you can use TweakUI to change the list, but is there a way you can
change it by browsing to a particular folder or registry location?

SeaMaid,

See section "Extending the New Submenu" in this documentation:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/ [...] ontext.asp

If you use the "Templates" method, the actual Template file can be from any
of these locations:

%Userprofile%\Templates
%Allusersprofile%\Templates
%Systemroot%\ShellNew
