Basically I'm wanting to build a new computer for school, mostly for computer animation and 3d rendering. I had originally wanted to build a PC based on a Q6600, but that was a few months ago, I haven't really been keeping up much with prices and such, really looking for some solid advice on what to get, I've got monitors and everything else, I just to replace the actual computer now. Again, thanks for any input or suggestions you have.

Oh, I forgot to mention that the cheaper I can build it the better. I had first wanted to build one for games among other things, but this will be mostly for work/school so keeping the cost around $500 would be ideal. But not necessary.
