I need help in the video card jungle!

Since getting a 22" widescreen monitor (1680 X 1050) I experience image tearing playing Microsoft's Combat Flight Sim. All other applicatins are fine.

I suspect my current GeForce 8600 GT can't handle it and would really welcome suggestions for a new graphics card. I'd like it to be solid, quiet and able to handle this sort of gaming.

Any help would be appreciated.

how about the 4850. You should be able to get one for under $200 and it will be plenty fast enough. (of course I'm assuming your just playing that one game)
