I tried installing more memory on my dell dimension 4300 , and when i turned it on windows never boots up the furthest it goes is to the black screen where it ask's you which mode would you like start windows with ( safe mode , last known config. , or normal ) but goes no further, I tried checking in the set up page and i opened the system memory part and i can see the memory i installed , but my computer doesnt seem to start up window (Xp) ,i feel i bought the right memory ( PC133 ) can anyone help me out with what to do ?

To test whether or not the memory is working right, download the free memtest86+ bootable CD image file, and burn a CD from it. Boot from that CD (it has it's own OS, and doesn't need Windows) and let it run at least a couple of complete passes and preferably overnight to make sure there are no errors.
