(Custom built PC that worked great for 2+ yrs but had to wipe and rebuild)
After clean install of WXP Home lost built-in Ethernet support... network now defaults to IEE 1394 when cable is connected. I guess I just need to locate the ethernet driver and install but need alittle help since what I downloaded from giga-byte isn't working ...yet.
Giga-Byte GA-K8NF-9 (nForce4-4x chipset) (not sure if Rev 1 or 2)

Went to http://www.gigabyte.com.tw/Support/Motherboard/Driver_Model.aspx?ProductID=1860 , downloaded under the LAN listing: "NVIDIA CK804 Lan Driver" (2 rev's of this MO, I downloaded Rev1
It's a .exe file that states Package from the Web Stub. Is this what I need and how do I install since I tried to under the Found New hardware Wizard and couldn't get it to install? Of course the wizard kicks in for each listed below so which one would I link to, if this is the way?

Side note: Under Device Manager. I have these yellow "?"'s:
Multimedia Audio Controller
Other PCI Bridge Device
PCI Memory Controller
PCI Simple Communications Controller
SM Bus Controller
Unknown Device
Video Controller (VGA Component)

TIA, Ken

I tried, but got the message "This program is used internally by PackageFromTheWeb. It should not be executed directly."

Don't use this one. I had the same issues and went for the Chipset drivers instead. (http://europe.giga-byte.com/FileList/Driver/motherboard_driver_chipset_nvidia_ck804_2kxp.exe)

This self extracts successfully and includes the LAN drivers.

So much easier!

Hve fun
Jonathan.
