Bad unwritable sectors detected

I sold a brand new WD cant format it says had drive Bad uglobdar09@hotmail.comnwritable sectors detected. Please Help

So you bought a new WD drive. Then what did you do to install it? How did you get to the place where you tried to Format it? Was that really a Format operation? Or, were you trying to do a Partition operation first? Were you using Windows disk Management for this, or some software utility to help you prepare the hard drive for use?
