That's it for now.. I apologize that many of the links are from a danish website. but that was because of problems finding the parts elsewhere. If anything's missing.. please tell me.

Thanks before hand.

It's just a bit too early.

Don't buy memory without knowing the voltage. Ideally it would be about 1.5V.

That CPU cooler does not follow any effective known design and the fan is small.

what resolution do you plan on gaming at? (if at all)

Some of your links are broken. The DVD burner is the only part in there that is not massively overpriced.

If he buys a GTX 280 and doesn't intend to play games at all then somebody should kick him

ROFL@aevm.

I like how you have the time to try to sound funny but not to answer a simple question.
Perhaps you'd want to do autoCAD/ProE or perhaps it's more video editing. Seeing as there's really no reason to spend that kind of money for a gaming machine when it'll depreciate so much. T Especially since the i7 are generally bringing more improvement to tasks other than gaming, relatively speaking. Just trying to identify what kind of user you are so that I can give you the best advice.

That is why I asked.

back on topic, I think that the 1200w PSU might be overkill for this type of load. If you went triple SLI and overclocked all around, then you would indeed have a use for it since your power draw (600w ish) would fall into the 50% load zone and that's usually a good spot for efficiency (85%+).

A personal preferance, I would go for a ATI 4870X2, because it has a faster clock speeds, DDR5, and its got more memory, 2GB, so its a way better card.

True, but it costs more (at least in North America).

Also, looking at the 1200W PSU, I think he wants to use all 3 PCI-E slots eventually. I don't know how well 3 of those cards would scale - that's 6 GPUs.

I would ask in a few weeks when we know more about various Mobos.
There may also be new memory sets out.

I suspect there may be some i7 Specific coolers out as well.

------------------------------ If its good in theory but not in practice,
its not good theory.

I read somewhere that Noctua sends free mounting kits on request to people who have some of their coolers on LGA775 boards. Maybe others will do the same (free or for a small price).
