I have installed 2x Sparkle 9800gt 512mb in SLI and I keep getting the following message under device manager on my second card. " This device cannot find enough free resources that it can use(Code 12).

I previously had 2x Sparkle 6600gt in SLI and the system worked fine.

I am using the SLI bridge that came with the 6600gt's as i did not recieve a new bridge with the 9800's.

I also noted that there is a small plug next to the SLi slot that I have no cable for and Im not sure if I should plug this in or not?

Can anyone assist me????

I have installed the latest drivers and Physx software but still no result.

what motherboard? power supply?

the old sli connector SHOULD be k, but i wouldnt be surprised if a new one provided more bandwidth..

the plug next to the sli connector is a S/PDIF something-a-rather cable connector thingy, that allows you to transfer lossless audio to something from something.

in other words, completely unnecessary.

I would say the second one is either not receiving enough bandwidth or power, or the mobo is faulty...

700w power supply AMD Athlon FX2. The problem is that the old cards worked and I agree that i think its the bridge that is causing the problem.

I have updated biosand motherboard to the latest drivers but still no result.
If i put the 2 6600gt's in it works fine.

If I only put one of the 9800gt's in it works fine(but that defines the point)

Any other ideas?
