I had an anti-virus license of AVG valid until 2018,that used to scan everything of my computer automatically after switch on. But now its not working. I can't get through internet directly clinking mozilla.internet explorer icon disappeared. If click on any icon of control panel, no file can be found. a message appears on the screen saying 'application not found' or 'system not found'. What can I do now? Could anyone help me please.

Do you see a windows folder on your HD ? Is it in your recycle bin ? If it is click restore. Is your AVG in your program files directory ? If yes run the file avgui.exe. Perform a full system scan customized, omit nothing. You can go to control panel and system restore, restore a previous backup on reboot. If not hope you have an install CD, you would have to re-install windows. If it is this bad, reset partition and reformat HD as well.
