The evga one is a core216 which means 216 stream processors compared to the 192 of the msi model. The core216 models come very close to the performance of the 280gtx, sometimes beating it.

You do know there is a specifications tab on newegg's page, right?

1 mhz memory clock

Instead of having a 1000 Mhz memory clock, it has a 999 mhz memory clock

equating out to approximately .0000001 % performance difference

theres also the fact that one is the 216 model and the other (MSI) is the 192 model

the performance difference is maybe 5 - 10 %, thats why the gtx 260 216 model is now in line with the 4870

definitely go for the cheaper of the two if those are the ones you want

EDIT: CRAZY when i first opened this thread there were no responses :(

I'm sure they looked at that, but really the msi is just on sale with a rebate, so looking at pricing it's really just a $50 difference. Which could just be the price of the game that the evga comes with. My guess is that you could easily OC the msi to evga performance but i doubt you'd notice the difference in everyday usage. A small difference in 3dmark scores at the most maybe

Thanks. I'm upgrading from a 7800GTXKO so i highly doubt i'd even notice the difference between those 2..
