I want to do SLI, not now but soon. These cards don't seem to be sold anywhere other than ebay and they are a rip off on ebay. Anyone seen them around?

Another question is, would a 9800GT work with an 8800GT in SLI. As far as I can tell they are the exact same card, just with a different # on them. I know with SLI the cards have to be the same, but they seem the same to me, spec wise anyway. That card is easier to find.

Thanks!

I am in the US.

Here is a recertified one probably not what you were looking for though

I also was thinking about sli-ing an 8800gt a while back but eventually dropped the idea. A few weeks ago best buy of all places had them for 100 on clearance. BTW I hate this revamp thing.

oh and well its 20 bucks more than I saw it for but not a terrible price

I'll sell your my 8800GT if you're interested.

It was shipped direct to me from eVGA on release and has a Zalman cooler on it.

I'm not sure if nVidia has fixed it since but I remember nVidia cards having real issues with SLI if they weren't pretty much the exact cards.

Different manufacturer means the BIOS on the cards could be different. That caused issues in the past. Again, I dont know if this is still the case.

ok, well, I have some time. I have no money right now cause I have to pay for school. I will look into that. May just end up getting a newer card at some point, to eventually SLI that.

Thanks guys.
