Winxp on intel SE7501BR2

Hi all,

I am trying to install winxpsp3 corporate (sliptreamed) on an intel sE7501BR2 using the onboard adaptec IAC 7901A u320 hostraid ontroller.

During Windowsc installation F6 is pressed to install 3rd party drivers. I'm using the textmodedrivers from the cd that came along with the mainboard.

Drives are detected, can be formatted during setup. When copying of files start setup reports that it cannot copy u320raid.sys

I checked the intel website but there are no drivers for winxp mentioned. I checked the adaptec website and found drivers that should support the controller, but I always get stuck at the same point during installation.

I did some searches on google but it seems that either nobody has this issue or nobody is trying to install winxp using this mainboard.

Just for the record, intel states that winxp is supported.

Ok,

I found out that none slipstreamed windows versions work. Each time I use a slipstreamed version winxp or w2k3, setup cannot copy the raid drivers.

I'm using nlite to slipstream windows.

Any ideas why this happens?
