Ha, nice. Should be ok, if you only want it for the experience that is. If you want to use it for some sort of functionality you will be wanting more power. It looks like that case has no fans, so it will rely on the psu for its airflow, just something to keep in mind.

Kinda looks like a pile to me...maybe you should just take apart someone elses computer or have someone show you how and save yerself the pain. Learn how to do it, then put that cash towards building yourself a computer that wont become a footstool in like 2 weeks. Yes I understand you are trying to learn, but there are better (cheaper) ways.

Pesonally, I'd save up my money and build a cheap dual core system for about $400.

But if you're dead set on the cheapest possible, then here's what I'd change.

1. Get the AMD Sempron LE-1150 Sparta 2.0GHz. It's cheaper, faster, and already comes with the heatsink.

2. If you're a college student, then you can most likely get windows free from your school. If not, use Linux or Unbutu instead. It's free and will be fine for just web browsing.

3. Get a DVD burner. A Lite-On one is about the same price. Get an ide one, since your motherboard only includes one sata cable. You can buy one, but it's not worth the price.

The psu included with your case is pretty crappy, but so is the rest of the system. So probably not worth worrying about.

If your gonna get that system dude, at least pick a cheap intel socket 775 board, pick up a dual core celeron chip for 20 bucks more, and spend another 20 to get 2 gb of memory. You will be much happier.

Nothing wrong with wanting to build a computer for experence, but theres a cheaper way to get that experience. Go down to a thrift store and spend a couple bucks on an old computer and rip that thing apart and put it back together to your hearts delight. Just make sure the thing power ups before you buy it.

When your done just take it down to where they take old electronics and dump them for free in your area (if that happens, i know they do it at a nearby school monthly so down here). Or get it working and use it for school, or rip everything out and mod the case for fun. I personally was thinking of how to turn and old beinge box computer case into a cabinet for all my video game systems personally last night

And if you do go down the route of using it for school, look into using an light OS, chances are it's going to be so old it probably won't run XP. I'm not a linux user really but I do know of linux distro called DSL (damn small linux) which will run on older hardware, its worth looking into if you go that route. Heres a wikipedia link for info.

On a last note, I may have pointed old the whole old computer route, but I think building a new duel core computer is probably the best route to go.
