So my power supply is the 750W PC Power & Cooling Silencer, and I have two HD's (one is a velociraptor and the other is a 1TB caviar, both WD) and a blu-ray reader and DVD burner. Would I be able to SLi with two 280 GTX SSC? Or maybe one 9800GT+ and one 280 GTX SSC? I currently have the 280 GTX SSX.

Sorry for the noob question and thanks in advance ^_^ :hello:

If you have an nForce based motherboard, yes you can sli 2 GTX280 SSC. However, you CANNOT sli a 9800GT and a GTX280. SLi requires two of the same model card.

Also, your PSU should be enough to keep up with nearly any 2 card setup.

yea i do have an nForce mobo, it's the eVGA 780i FTW, and according to nVidia's website you can so long as you dedicate one for physx and the other for graphics rendering i was mainly wondering whether the power supply was enough

clumsypyro agree with B-Unit that psu should handle 2 - 280 gtx ok.the psu has a single 12 volt rail @ 60 amps.that should be plenty.
