Hi, seeking advice on the following issue....

Hardware:

2 x Desktop PC's (VIA chipsets)
1 x Laptop (wireless)
1 x Netgear WGT624 v3 wireless grouter
1 x Belkin F5D7050 v3 USB wireless g antenna
1 x Netgear WGT311T PCI wireless g card

The setup on my previous connection (VirgimMedia Cable) was solid but I no longer have that option since I've moved into a shared house.

The issue is that I have my 2 PC's running to my router (together with a Netgear SC101 NAS unit). The ISP in my new home is Sky Broadband ADSL but the modem is downstairs in the living room. The Belkin antenna is garbage, drops connection constantly with the Belkin software or Windows running it....getting rid of it as soon as I can! The WGT311T is infamous for not getting on with VIA chipsets and I haven't used it since I got rid of my nForce m/board some time ago.

The laptop wireless is very solid however, and I am toying with the idea of using it as a router.

Any tips or suggestions on how to configure this setup for the best would be welcomed but atm the best idea (it would seem) is to use the laptop as a router.

Your advice/suggestions are gratefully received and many thanks in advance.

Nick
