yeah sorry for the tittle i really couldn't think of a good one but basically

my question is this i actually have a nice laptop a g50v from ASUS and i was wondering really all i do is play games with a lil of MSN here and there and i was wondering how can i stop everything else on my computer just when im wanting to run games so all the gfx and cpu power is running to my game and not random stuff in the back ground? or is this possible cuz with a 9800gts i feel like i should be getting such low fps any help?

try ctrl,alt,supr, at the same time you will manage to see the background tasks you can disable almost everything from there.
