If i have 2 1gb sticks of the same exact ram in 2 slots and 2 256mb sticks in another 2 and then a stick of 512mb in another slot alone, will the 2 1gb and 2 256mb run in duel channel if placed next to each other or will all the memory run in single channel?

It will tell you when you during POST what mode it is running in.
