Cannot change monitor type

Under display properties, advanced options, monitor tab, the properties button appears grayed out and I am unable to change the monitor, I'm stuck with the defuault monitor, how can I fix these?

If you install the drivers for your monitor, it should be good.

I'm going to guess you have an ATI Radeon using the 3102 drivers in which case there is no solution except to download the new beta drivers or wait for a new driver release.
