Hello can some please tell me why when I view my task manger under Networking the link speed on shows 100Mbps not 1000Mbps since I am using my Gigabit Lan connection on my mobo.

The switch you're connected to isn't gigabit.

or the less likely case is that the cable you're using is an older cat5 (not cat5e or cat6... or cat7)

Thank you for the help

I am connected directly to the modem (no router/switch in between) but the cable is Cat 5. So its the cable preventing it from show the Gigabit Lan???
