Gateway GT5656 Stock!

Im not positive on this but shouldn't my ram mhz/bus speed be higher?

Will i need to replace my ram to gain atleast 533/667/800/1066 etc?

Suggest 3GBs (1gb sticks?) of ram that isn't to expensive...not sure on the mhz rate...if i do have to replace the ram

Im using this setup after i get a gfx card in it as a backup gaming pc so i don't need ridiculous ram i want to keep what i have to spend low as i got the machine free (circuit city!)

So if i can set this ram up in the bios or w/e and it run fallout3/oblivion etc nothing to intensive i won't need to waste the money on new ram

Below is a download link to all of my pc info its a 5mb pic so i couldn't just up it so easily...i have seven cpu-z windows showing stats to proc mb ram etc

Thanks for anything you guys can help me with iv got a headache looking through all of this and reaching a dead end umm if any of this doesn't make since feel free to question me i apologize this post is a bit out of order :??:

you know, that is a really odd setting. though the SPD only shows a max of 266Mhz. this could be the problem, low grade RAM not meant to run any higher. that would be the reason for your cpu/12 and not a cpu/8 like it should be for a 6000+. all i can say is go to newegg.com and get some new sticks. though, i don't see on Elitegroups website the model of your motherboard, so it may be an odd one, i would check to see how many slots for ram you have and, if you have it, get the manual for it and check what the RAM limits are.

So you think these might work? if they don't i could always send em back or use them in my new pc on its way

Is the difference in timings and cas latency really that important for gaming? like oblivion fallout3 bioshock etc

it may, pending on the graphics card installed, frankly, AMD k8 cpus aren't powerful enough to fully benifit from 4-4-4-15 timings. but i would go for the corsair set mostly in part to the voltage rating. 2.1v is quite a bit to be running through ram and without proper ventilation, which if i know gateway there really isn't, can really heat up.
