Well I've always hated the name "9600GSO" and would like to change it to "8800GS"

Why? idk I just like having something with an "8" rather than a "6"

Also the newer (crappier) 9600GSOs are already out on newegg (the ones with 48SPs) and I don't want people confusing mine for the crappy one... seriously Nvidia would it have been too much to ask you to make it called something DIFFERENT from an existing product? You could have gone with 9600GS just fine.

So does anybody know how (or if) I can change the name from 9600GSO to 8800GS? I assume I'll have to go into the bios but will it be easily done? Like will the name of the card be in there for easy change and can this cause driver compatibility problems?

lol epic phail... they are the same thing. really who cares? stupid nVidia naming scheme. Besides, a pentium dual core is nothing to boast about :lol:
