Thanks for previous feedback. Please tell me what you guys think, fill in the gaps. What do i need to get this machine running, i have a decent monitor but twill upgrade that later.

You'll need an optical drive and an operating system. Since you have a monitor, I'll assume you have a keyboard, speakers, and rodent.
Surge supressor or UPS? Nice chair? Desk lamp? :)

That EP45C has dual support DDR2/DDR3. That kind of motherboards usually overclocks worse and costs more than similar boards with DDr2 only. Also, you can't use DDR3 until you throw out the DDR2, can't use both at the same time. My own GA-P35C-DS3R for example has this disadvantage over its cheaper version GA-P35-DS3R (which was one of the best boards last year).

I read somewhere about a USB device that cools beer cans. When the customers complained that roommates were stealing the beer, they also made a USB device that throws rubber missiles. Sorry, no link, it was in a local magazine, no idea if it's on the Web too.

The Antec 1200 does come with fans. Mine even had 2 spare fans in the box. The have a controller on each and they have 3 settings, low, med and high. At low or med you can barely hear them. The only downside I have with the case is you have to clean the dust filters often but I can live with that !

Yes, Antec 1200 comes with fans (5) The fans should be fine at first and get louder as time goes on. Normal.

How about a CPU cooler? I would choose one that sits at a right angle from the CPU and mounted so the direction of air flow is toward the exaust fans in the upper rear portion of the case.

I've occasionally seen this device among the toys on www.geeks.com.
