im having problems installing a new set of dual channel ram into my motherboard. Currently i have 1 gb of Ram that is OCZ platinum edition dual channel pc 6400 800 mhz installed and works perfectly on my computer. So i decided to up my ram by buying the same kind of OCZ platinum edition ram with all the same specs but instead 2 gb dual channel, so that i would have 3gb upgraded. Problem is when i tried installing the new ram, my computer wouldnt boot. THere was no post, no beeping sounds that could identify what the problem would be, and nothing showed up on my screen. In fact the only hint to the problem was that my screen said "no input detected", so im assuming it was a power out of some sort.

Then i removed the new ram and voila, everything went back to normal, so then i took out my old ram and installed the new ones separatly, still no luck, no boot, no screen, nothing

then i looked at the sticker on the ram, and noticed a different sort of power voltage settings on them
said something like this "4-4-4@2.1v"
my older ones had a different sticker number setting on them... but i dont think this would be a big issue, as i could adjust power settings on my ram through bios

any ideas or help? i already updated and flashed my bios after attempting to install, and still no luck.

So what happens if you set the RAM voltage to 2.1V in the BIOS?
