Help! Just put a new pc build together using an Intel DP45SG with Corsair TX650W power supply and Corsair XMS3 1333 mhz DDR3 1.5 V

The PC won't power on...nothing happens. I used a volatage detector and it lights up so I am assuming eth power supply is pass a current. I am really stumped...don't knwo what to check or do next. Any ideas?

Do a bare post on a phonebook or the motherboard box. Just the cpu/heatsink, one stick of memory, keyboard, mouse, and video. Leave all drives disconnected. Be sure your memory is seated in the slot securely. I touch the power switch pins with a plain flathead screwdriver to power up. If you get a post screen, set the boot order and check the memory voltage in the bios. Save and exit. Power off and finish your build. This rules out any metal to metal contact that can happen to create a no post situation. Also check your backplate to be sure it's flush with the case, and any port metal pieces that need to be bent up to connect devices to the board.
