Mushkin ddr3 1600

i installed this memory and the speed runs at 1333mhz with 9-9-9-24 speed. the recommended specification is 1600mhz so i changed it to 1600 but then the timings became 9-11-11-29. i dont know if that's normal cos the specs is 9-9-9-24. Should i put it back to 9-9-9-24 while at 1600 speed?.... the mobo is nforce 790i sli ftw

I would put it back to 9-9-9-24. I think those are aggressive timings for 1600Mhz RAM, by most standards, so you should be okay.

ok, how about the volts, the default is 1.5 should i put it 1.6?........... in the specs they just said 1.5-1.6 volts. i dont know what volts am i going to use.

I mis-wrote. I meant to write "I don't think those are aggressive timings for 1600Mhz RAM..." As far as voltage, I would set it at 1.65 (or as close as you can), that's what I have for my Patriot at for that speed and those timings and its very stable, even with 12GB installed.. Again, 9-9-9-24 is considered to be somewhat loose for 1600Mhz so you should be fine.

I run my Gskill 3gb DDR3 1333 at 1524mhz at 8-8-8-20 at 1.6V Kit was only $70 so I think your mushkin could do the same.
