Hi guys,

This is my first time building a system and would like opinions on these components from those who are a lot more experienced than me. I want to keep this around $1100 and will be running Vista 64bit.

Thanks!

Poor choice for a graphic card with the crossfire motherboard, you can't crossfire Nvidia cards. Get a HD4850 or a HD4870. Good choices, don't choke them with that GPU. You can save some money by going with one of the lower priced power supplies in that case combo deal. You'd only need that 850w if you were going to a HD4870x2 , the 650w would be plenty, even for crossfired 4850s.

The case is almost entirely a personal preference item (that one is way too big for my tastes), but the rest of it looks excellent. The RAM runs at the JEDEC standard 1.8V, and the optical drive is Retail, so it includes software. If you're going to be gaming, you might prefer a 4850. You can make up the difference by going with a less expensive case (e.g. Antec 300), 650W PSU (also Antec, Corsair, or PC Power & Cooling; smaller, but not lesser quality), or maybe just getting 4GB of RAM. Still, those are all good choices.

Thanks for the replies. Any recommendations on a HD4850 or 4870? I've always used nvidia so I'm not too familiar with ATI.

Looks great... have fun with it.

However, because it's a crossfire board, you will obviously have to buy 2 ATI cards to make use of crossfire.

10 days to i7 920's if you can wait and put a bunch more money into a motherboard and ram you will have the best performance.
