Monitor is great problem is its so hard to find things to run at the native res.
I just want to have a pretty video looping thats not 1080p.

I have a few friends that make things with autodesk maya and i got some rendered stuff from them that
looks great problem is there only like 10 second long clips. I need something longer that will fill the whole
screen.

I have plenty of backrounds that i could make into a slideshow, but I really wanted a vid. Really just
anything thats 2560x1600 anything but porn, lol i have a daughter.

Any suggestions?

CGI, would be preferred, but anything.
I know there is stuff out there but after searching for two days I give up.

Just want something that isnt a video game.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I think you're going to have a very hard time finding video in that native resolution. You're probably better off playing a slideshow of high resolution photos on that monster of a display if you need something to show it off with.

Naw there is plenty of stuff just stuff that isnt long enough.
Are stuff in higer resolutions which i cant do anything with.

Take for example I have a animation im assuming done with maya
because i found it on a maya fan forum at a res of
2160p resolution 3840 x 2160. 20 sec clip of something someone was
making. Its actually not even all that big in comparison to 1080p.

Quad LCD's have also been out since 2006 just not for purchase to
regular consumers.

There are even a few 4k monitors floating around like sharps 4k 64"
monitor.

But its all good i guess ill have to have one of my animation friends
to make a video at the res but of fruits and vegetables lol.

I just use some picts from the web you can find lots of nice free CGI images at 2560x1600.

Your going to love that monitor btw, BLU-RAY is so sweet on it!

The issue was clip length, and for something worthwhile that's long enough native content is not everywhere, but for something like a demo clip sure go cruise the animation forums.

2160P is much bigger than 1080p, if it doesn't appear so, then it's not at the same quality level (either colour depth or compression). Even 1600P is about twice the size.

The main thing is what you're expecting from the content, if a looped clip of spinning plates of fruit or mirrored balls is good enough then there's your solution, but if you're looking for real video, then it's tougher to get.

As for Quad LCDs, yeah as TVs they've been around since 2006, but as LCD monitors, they and higher resolutions have been around since 2001.
