vga required?

Hello all..

I've just completed my first computer build and I'm ready to power up for the first time... or am I? my motherboard (asus p5q deluxe) does not have an onboard video. I do not play games, do I need to buy a video card before I can update bios, install windows xp etc?

If you don't have a video card with that motherboard, you need one. If you don't play games or anything, a cheaper card will suffice, but you can't go without.
