I have a M52L-S3P mobo and AMD Athlon II x4 630 and am currently struggling to find a stable OC config, i have managed to get it to 3.5ghz on default voltages, but it was unstable, i would like to achieve 3.5ghz, does anyone know a stable FSB and Voltage set-up to help me chieve this, the standard voltage is 1.4v. Please reply i posted before and nobody replied, if you need anymore information please ask, thankyou.

First off welcome to THG =)

Second, why are you trying to get a stable overclock with stock voltages? The 630 is clocked at 2.8Ghz stock with a voltage of 1.325v. If you want stability you need to crank up the voltage a bit.

Third, not sure if you are running an aftermarket cooler or not but it is highly recommended that use one if you are inclined to do any overclocking at all.

At 3.5Ghz your CPU should not need more than 1.42v, here is an example :

Thanks for the reply, i tried upping the voltage by +0.100v which then took me to 1.5v roughly, it booted stabaly 3 times in a row and on the 4th POST error reported which i guess is the normal with unstable CPU so i attempted to up it +0.125v this gave me another error, and then tried +0.150v which booted and blue screened at the log on screen. i am using an aftermarket cooler, which with stock idles at 25-28c. I'm not very good at troubleshooting myself with this, and so if you think i have done soemthing wrong please correct me, i have disabled AMd Cool & quiet as i heard this conflicted, is there anything else you can suggest, thankyou again.

Thanks i've got it sorted now, without changing th dram volts too, when i chanegd them i got POST error reports or the one time it failed to boot even the BIOS and so i had to reset CMOS, got it' stable at 3.35ghz now, hopefully it's stable anyways :p prime shows so, and i've been using it now for a few hours, but a reboot will soon tell the truth :p
