Home built or this?

I've been putting together component list for a new home build based on an Intel Q9550 - used mostly for Office apps (MS Word, Excel, etc.) some Photoshopping, video editing and web design ... very LITTLE gaming. Are about to pull the trigger on components that I've gathered recommendations on from everyone in here. Then I came across what seems to be a really nice price on a system very close to what I had in mind - Velocity Micro Edge E2250 - $825 total shipped.

Any comments on the components in this pre-built? Do you think I should go with a home build ... my "Wish List" would be about $1,200 after figuring taxes and shipping from Newegg.

That is a decent price for what you are getting. I would call and ask them what "open box" means though....other than that for what you need it should do the job quite nicely.
Whether to buy this or go for a home build, I can't tell you what to do there.
Since you do very little gaming, I might just be tempted to get the pre-build.
A lot of people do home builds just because we like to do it.
If you are not that interested in tinkering with your own build....well this prebuild looks pretty good, although I am not familiar with this company.
