I just recently purchased the Gateway dx4720 from best buy and it came with a POS graphics card. I have a 26" Westinghouse LCD TV as my monitor (I purchased the best monster cable to hook it up) and I dont know which card to buy, im not a frequent gamer but i do like to play when i can and i want it to look good. Right now the resolution is so low programs are running out of my screen so i cant click on some things (which really sucks) so i was just looking for some advice from anyone who knows about this kinds stuff or is in a similar situation.

What "Crappy" videocard did your system come with? Is your 26" TV a 720p or 1080 set?

Eitherwya, you can't go wrong with any 4850 these days.... if your not a serious gamer, you could look at the 4670 or 9600GT card, both for under $100

Does your TV have HDMI or DVI?

Have you tried changing the resolution? Right click on the desk top>properties>settings.

What is the size of the psu? Before we recommend GPU we need all these questions answered.

My TV is HDMI and is 1080 but is currently running at 720 because the resolution wont go beyond 1176x664. I should have mentioned in my first post I tried higher resolution but the screen would black out and appear very small and shake. My current video card is NVIDIA Ge-Force 7100/ NVIDIA nForce 630i. I didnt know how to check my power supply but it is a new computer so i found that it is 300 watts from

i gathered that it was the biggest flaw of my computer. So what is the next step?
