This is what I have E4500 ocd to 2.65GHZ, 9600gt, 4bg RAM and vista 64bit. What kind of game play will I get on Call of Duty World at War at 1280X720? I am wondering if I will be able to have settings at high and get nicely playable framerates. Also for a newbie what kind of frame rates is deemed nicely playable without any slowdown? I know my card will over clock to 725 core 950 memory without crashing, if that helps.

I had a 8800gts 640 that had a few problems here and there. One was during the tank scene. It got to a point where a lot was going on and had some stuttering....This was at 16x10. all settings at least on high.... don't remember exactly what they were though. With your lower resolution you MIGHT be ok for high settings... ???? sorry I couldn't help more.

Yes, on that resolution you are absolutely fine, no problems at all. I have q6600 at stock speed, 3GB of 667 Mhz Ram and 8800GT slightly OCed (680/1700/680) and at 16x10 I can afford highest detail with 4aa in most of the levels, sometimes I dropped it to 2aa and in tank level I switched it off . Generally I was always looking to get around 40 fps for smooth gameplay.
