P5QL-PRO and Kingston hyper x PC2-8500 1066 memory issues

I cannot get it to run stable at 1066mhz can anyone help please???? it runs at stock 800mhz

what are the timings ect to get it to work????.

You need to set the voltage and timings according to the specs.

Some board can be "picky" when it comes to timing. For example, my Gigabyte P35-DS3L won't run stable when my RAM is @ 4-4-4-15 (rated RAM spec), but runs just fine @ 4-5-4-15. Set voltage, play a bit with the settings then you can try to lower voltage back.

it runs at 800Mhz because 1066Mhz is not an officially acknowledged standard. the ram is capable of it, but you'll have to manually set that speed in the bios.
