I am looking at getting a new video card, but the heat sink on my motherboard overlaps underneath my current video card by just a hair, making me have to look for a small enough card to sit above the heatsink. My question is, is it bad to get too close to the heat sink with a video card? What if for some reason it ended up touching the heat sink, that would probably be bad? Sorry if this is a dumb question, I'm new to all of this stuff.
my friends graphics card is touching his cpu's heat sink. as long as the metal of the heat sink isn't touching any mental or conductive parts on the card itself, you should be fine
