Missing admin account

i made a new account which i set as administrator and made the acount, which previously was administrator, as an standard but by mistake i again changed the setting of ma new acc as standard now i m having no aministrator acc and cant acces device manager and other files what should i do

Windows should not allow a person to make this mistake...but I digress...

A repair installation should recreate the administrator account without losing the currently installed apps and data.

If you do not have the Windows XP disc to do repair,

you can also try out

Offline NT Password & Registry Editor
http://pogostick.net/~pnh/ntpasswd/

will allow you to reset password and promote your standard user to administrator.
