Please Suggest components for home media server

I wish to make a home media server to simply work in the background as a torrent machine and store media on home network which can be accessed by a stanalone HTPC and PC.

Would be useful to be quiet and therefore cool and energy efficent. May need to serve media and torrent at same time.

Please suggest: CPU, Mobo etc.

yeah get cheap and quiet stuff like an AMD 5000+ and a gigabyte 780g for like 160$ then get cool and quiet and a Antec 400 PSU

Budget - lower the better - wisll look at suggestions.
Network bandwidth will be wired in the main through Netgear 834GT router

Nothing to fancy, I wish the flexibility to run a media server as I am fedup of moving media between players and tvs around the house via removable sources. I wish to leave my main PC for my home video editing etc. and more intensive tasks rather than heavy net tasks.

yeah then get a really cheap AMD or intel dual core. Ie. E5200 or 4000+

As you can see these are pricer in UK.
