I have a HP desktop with a NVIDIA GeForce 9500GS video card. It has HDMI, DVI-D and VGA outputs. I also a 24" HP w2408h 24" LCD that has an HDMI and VGA input. I want to connect my desktop to my monitor AND my Sharp 65" LCD TV. The TV has HDMI and VGA inputs. Both the TV and monitor are capable of 1920 x 1200.

All three outputs on the CPU work fine with the monitor, but when I try them on the TV, the TV says incompatiable signal when trying HDMI. When I try the DVI-D (CPU) to HDMI (TV), I can only see about 75% of the screen (can not see the top, bottom or sides). When I try the VGA, the resolution is too low. I have been trying to use the VGA on the monitor and the DVI-D on the TV and tried spittler HDMI cables too with bad results.

Any suggestions on a video card to try to get 1920 x 1200 on both and that will use 100% of the display on the TV?

Issue number 1, that is a seriously weak card to be trying this with. Secondly I'd recommend getting at least an ATI 4650, ATI has always stomped nVidia on TV out (they are better with sound over HDMI too). But if you wand max res on both at the same time, go with at least a 4850. (the 4850 is around $150)

But is the card itself seem ok, I can price shop it after I find which one I need to get.

Thanks,
