Phenom II 940 MB question..

Hello everybody..
i just wanted to ask if this http://www.biostar-usa.com/app/en-us/t-series/content.php?S_ID=310 motherboard willsupport Phenom II 940 ???

i was trying to see.. it supports HT 3.0 version so i am guessing that it willsupport, but i better ask you guys.. so what do you think?

if it doesn't iwill go for E8500 and new board...

If you look back at the page you linked, there is a tab labeled "CPU Support." Clicking on it shows which CPUs the board supports, and neither Phenom II is on that list currently. So no, the board does not support the Phenom II X4 940 as of the moment but probably would if Biostar updates the BIOS to support 45 nm processors.

After looking through most of the AM2+ Biostar boards, it would appear that none of them support Phenom II. However, I own the TF8200 A2+ and Phenom II works fine on it. I think that Biostar probably hasn't updated their info yet.

Yes that is quite true, biostart hasnt even updated info for the TA790GX which they claim fully supports phenom II

i would suggest that if you go for a phenom II build definitely try to get a 790GX chipset one, the ASUS M3A78-t is great for it, but it ofcourse depends on your budget.

Yes it does.. click HOME, then on the home page, on the left, there will be an announcement about "AM3, the cutting edge". click on that, and you'll see the list of motherboard that support it. This one is on.

Edit: oups..depend of the revision of the motherboad..
